Light painting on Telford’s 199-year-old bridge

Conwy Camera Club held a Light Painting workshop as part of the Telford 200 Creative Collective. Participants captured eye-catching visual effects on the Conwy Suspension Bridge, which reaches its bicentenary in July 2026.

The Creative Collective, throughout November, involved a wide-ranging programme of arts events in Conwy. Results from literary and visual arts workshops will be displayed as part of the Telford 200 celebrations next year.

Conwy Camera Club contributes to many aspects of community life. The Light Painting event supported the Creative Collective and gave several people their first taste of the use of artificial light to illuminate features or create patterns during long exposures.

The event was led by club member Ian Greenwood, who runs Light Painting workshops on the Llŷn Peninsula. He was assisted by Gareth Williams, who had kindly travelled all the way from Aberdaron to help make the event a success.
