Martin Neale showcase and ‘North Wales coast’ images

This month’s display on the club’s screen at the GH Edwards shop in Conwy High Street features a set of animal images by Martin Neale and a celebration of the beauty and variety of the North Wales coast. You can also view the sequence below.

Martin joined the club 13 years ago and says it was the best thing he did to improve his photography. He tries his hand at all genres, especially macro, street and light painting, but his main specialism is wildlife. His selection for the shop display screen includes a photo of a puffin in flight with a beak-full of sand eels, a close-up of a dragonfly and several portraits of British mammals in the wild.

The North Wales coast draws countless visitors every summer. The images in our display show the coast as seen by residents – many of our club members. They cover a wide range of topics and lighting conditions, from dawn to dusk.

The display also includes the photo by Dan Richards which won him a UK award recently – the “Creative Shutter Speed” competition in EOS Magazine. Congratulations to Dan!

The round-up of what the club did in June includes photos of Conwy Pirate Weekend, the D-Day commemoration at Conwy Beacons and Llandudno, and results from club trips to Trac Môn and the Great Orme for Silver Studded Blue butterflies.
