Pixoroo — Competitions & Image Uploads

Pixoroo is the platform we use for internal competitions (PDI and Print), selecting images for external competitions, the annual Creative Challenge, and any future Club projects that use Pixoroo for image upload. It’s not compulsory to sign up, but if there’s a chance you’ll want to take part in any of these, it’s worth doing whenever suits you.

ℹ️ This is our first season using Pixoroo, so we’re all finding our feet with it together — if anything is unclear, contact the Competitions Secretary and we’ll sort it out.

If you don’t yet have a Pixoroo account

  1. Go to the Sign up link above.
  2. Fill in your email address, choose a password (see Password Rules below), and enter the Club’s joining code when prompted, this will have been sent to you separately.
  3. Important: when the form asks for Country, select Wales. For Time Zone, select (Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London).
  4. Click Register, then verify your email address — check your inbox (and spam/junk folder) for a message from Pixoroo.
  5. Wait for the Competitions Secretary to confirm your membership and set your competing level. There may be a short delay since it’s done manually — no action needed from you.
  6. You’re in! You’ll get a final confirmation email. Log in and click your Club Entrant profile to reach the Conwy Camera Club competitions portal.

Password rules: at least 8 characters, one capital letter, one special (non-alphanumeric) character, and one digit.

If you already have a Pixoroo account (e.g. from another club)

You don’t need a new account — just add Conwy Camera Club to your existing profile:

  1. Log in to Pixoroo, then go to My Account → My Profiles.
  2. Under Club Entrant, click Register, select Conwy Camera Club from the drop-down, and enter the Club’s joining code above. Click Verify.

⚠️ Pixoroo only allows one club membership per email address. If you’re already registered with another club under the same email, you’ll need a different email address to add Conwy Camera Club. Contact the Competitions Secretary if you’re not sure which applies to you.

Good to know

  • Your Pixoroo account is entirely your own — the Club cannot access or reset your password; use Pixoroo’s own “forgotten password” link if needed.
  • Once you’ve entered a competition, Pixoroo emails you a confirmation for each entry (with a thumbnail). You can change entries any time up to the closing date.

How to Upload Images & Enter Competitions

ℹ️ This guide assumes you’re already signed up and confirmed as a Club Entrant on Pixoroo — see “How to Sign Up” above if you haven’t done that yet.

1. Logging in & selecting your profile

  1. Log in at pixoroo.com/public/account/login using the email address and password you registered with.
  2. You can update your profile details — name, capitalisation preferences, distinctions — any time via My Account. The Club can’t make changes on your behalf.
  3. On the Select Profile screen, click the Club Entrant tile to enter the Conwy Camera Club competitions portal.

2. Finding a competition to enter

  1. The Club Entrant portal lists competitions currently open for entries — check back if you don’t see one yet.
  2. You can only submit images to competitions relevant to your grade — e.g. an Aspiring member won’t be able to enter images into the Advanced category, even if it’s the same competition.
  3. Click the competition you want to enter. You’ll see a summary — name, type, category, number of images allowed, closing date — plus the Competition Rules & Guidelines. Read these carefully before continuing.

3. Accepting the competition rules

Read the Competition Rules and click to accept them — the button turns green. You can’t upload until you’ve done this. Then click Upload/Edit Entries to move on to the upload screen.

⚠️ Not following the competition rules may result in your images being disqualified. The Competitions Secretary may contact you to verify any images if needed.

4. Uploading your images

ℹ️ Image requirements: maximum dimensions 1600 pixels horizontally in Landscape format and 1200 pixels vertically in Portrait format, maximum file size 2 MB, sRGB colour space required.

Important: image titles must be in CAPITALS, with no author name, number, or underscore — this is exactly how your image will be shown to the judges.

  1. Click Upload Image for each entry slot, then browse to and select your file.
  2. Type your title into the field below the image, in CAPITALS.
  3. If an image doesn’t meet the size or dimension requirements, you’ll see a warning (“Wrong image size and/or dimensions”). Fix the image and click Upload different image to try again.

5. Completing & confirming your entry

  1. A successful upload shows a thumbnail alongside your title — check it’s correct before moving on.
  2. Once all your images are uploaded, click Complete.
  3. You’ll see a confirmation screen listing all your entries and titles. Click Review to go back and make changes, or Confirm to submit.
  4. You’ll receive a confirmation email — keep it as proof of entry. You can still revise or replace any entry up until the competition’s closing time.

6. Good to know

  • Entries can’t be submitted after the closing date — the competition disappears from the portal once it closes.
  • The title shown to judges is taken from your file’s name by default — rename your files before uploading, or edit the title field afterwards.
  • Resize images before uploading (max 1600 or 1200 px, 2 MB) — Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar can do this for you.
  • Titles must be CAPITALS only — no name, number, or underscore.
