Conwy Camera Club was on hand to record the visit of Wales in Bloom judges to Conwy last summer – and is delighted that the judges awarded Conwy the gold award for small towns!
At the Wales in Bloom ceremony in Conwy Guildhall last night, Conwy Town Council presented the club’s Sarah Horrocks with a certificate of thanks for photographing the judging. She is pictured with the certificate alongside Tanya Liepins, another stalwart of the club’s photography in support of town council events.
The town laid on outdoor entertainments when the judges visited numerous sites around the town where traders and community volunteers provide floral displays, grow food or look after special open spaces.
This selection of Sarah’s photos shows the judges at St Mary’s Churchyard, at Baravelli’s artisan chocolate shop in Bangor Road, and at one of the several sites where Incredible Edibles volunteers grow fruit, vegetables and herbs for anyone to pick and eat.
