New location for club’s digital photo display

Conwy Camera Club’s digital photo display has a new home, the Fisherman’s Chip Shop in Castle Street, Conwy. The sequence of photos will be updated each month, and for September we’re showcasing work by Don Liepins along with ‘Lines, Shapes & Patterns’ images. You can also view the sequence below.

The club’s digital photo screen was in the GH Edwards shop in High Street from February 2024 to July 2026. In its new location, the images are easier to view.

Don joined the club in 2018 and has enjoyed learning from other members, sharing ideas and being encouraged to improve his photography and try new things. His selection of images reflects his passion for the great outdoors, where he photographs landscapes and wildlife, and his eye for interesting compositions in urban environments.

‘Lines, Shapes & Patterns’ was the theme of a recent club competition. The selection in this month’s sequence is by various club members and covers a wide interpretation of the theme, with natural and human-made subjects.

This month we have also started showing results of a new ‘Then and Now’ archive project, based on old picture postcards of Conwy and North Wales. First up are views of Lower Gate Street, Conwy, including Britain’s Smallest House, and of the main road in Old Colwyn.
