This month’s display on the club’s screen at the GH Edwards shop in Conwy High Street features work by Jo Ward, a sequence of ‘Shadows’ images and more results from the club’s ‘Summer Along the Coast’ archive project. You can also view the sequence below.
Jo joined Conwy Camera Club four years ago and has learned much from other members and from the speakers who show and talk about their photography at club meetings. She particularly enjoys landscape photography and has become known in the club for atmospheric images of the North Wales coast at sunrise or sunset. Her set of images for this month’s display shows why it pays to get up early and go out with the camera!
‘Shadows’ was the theme of a competition for club members earlier this year, and some of the entries are shown on the screen. The images cover a wide variety of shadows, including in the built environment, in nature, on the tabletop, and falling on human or animal subjects.
This month’s pairs of ‘Then and Now’ images depict the paddling pool at Craig-y-Don, Llandudno, and Knightly’s Funfair at Towyn.
