This month’s digital photo display by Conwy Camera Club in the window of Fisherman’s Chip Shop, Conwy, features work by Kerri Adams, a sequence of ‘Cities’ images, and more results from the club’s new ‘Then and Now’ project. You can also view the display below.
Kerri joined the club a few years ago and particularly enjoys the social side and the humour. Her main photographic interest is wandering around streets and other areas, snapping people and odd moments. Her sequence of images also reflects her preference for monochrome images.
Recently the club has started a new ‘Then and Now’ photographic project, based on old picture postcards of Conwy and North Wales. This month’s screen display presents images of St Therese’s Church, Abergele, in c.1938 and this year, and a fascinating record of the growth of Gyffin, Conwy, since before the Second World War.
Various club members contributed photos for the ‘Cities’ sequence. The images reflect some of the wide variety of photographic subjects available in urban spaces, including geometric patterns, reflections, people and historic architecture. Some images also show the appeal of city scenes in low light or at night.
